Commissioned Work
Research services
For funds, advisory practices, founders raising capital and companies entering new markets. Built to the same standard as the published research: primary filings, assumptions left visible, sources named. Delivered in days rather than weeks.
SERVICE 01
Competitive landscape analysis
Player mapping built from audited filings: business models, pricing, positioning and whitespace. Sourced from primary documents, not bought in from a database.
₹1,000 per competitor
SERVICE 02
Market sizing and entry assessment
Bottom-up sizing with visible assumptions, sensitised on the variables that actually move the number. Includes entry difficulty and incumbent position.
₹35,000 – ₹75,000 per engagement
SERVICE 03
Financial modelling and valuation
Working models with live assumptions, scenario ranges and comparable-based valuation. For founders raising capital and teams evaluating acquisitions.
₹20,000 – ₹35,000 per engagement
SERVICE 04
Commercial diligence support
Market position, competitive risk and revenue quality for investment diligence, in any sector where the structural and regulatory data exists but sits scattered.
₹50,000 – ₹1,25,000 per engagement
Engagement
How an engagement works
Five stages, run on a compressed timeline. The timelines above are commitments, not estimates: the delivery date goes into the written scope before you commit to anything. The scoping call is free and carries no obligation. If the question cannot be answered well from the sources available, you will hear that at stage one, not at delivery.
1
Scope
A call to establish the decision the research has to support. Output is a written scope, a fixed fee and a delivery date.
2
Sources
The source set is identified and confirmed with you before analysis starts, so you know what the answer will rest on.
3
Build
Filings read, figures extracted and cross-verified, model built. One mid-point check-in on direction.
4
Review
Draft delivered for questions. One round of revision on scope-consistent changes is included.
5
Deliver
Final report, working model, sources appendix and a walkthrough call to defend the numbers directly.
What you receive
- The report. Written to be read by a decision-maker, not padded out to a page count.
- The working model. A live spreadsheet with one labelled assumptions block. Nothing hard-coded into formulas, so you can change an input and watch the answer move.
- A sources appendix. Every document used, with enough detail to retrieve each one yourself.
- A walkthrough call. The numbers defended live, by the person who read the filings.
Terms
- Fees are fixed before work starts, quoted against the written scope and not billed by the hour. The figures above are the working range; where a job lands inside it depends on the scope, and the exact number is agreed with you in advance.
- Work is confidential. Commissioned research is yours; it is not republished, resold, or reused in a published issue.
- Conclusions are not for sale. The scope is agreed in advance; the finding is whatever the sources support. If the answer is unwelcome, you still get the answer.
- Capacity is limited. A small number of engagements run at a time, so start dates are real dates.
- One revision round is included on scope-consistent changes, and the scoping call is free.
Is this a fit?
It works well when the data exists in filings, disclosures or audited accounts but sits scattered, unaggregated, or contradicted by the figure everyone quotes. It works well when the answer has to survive questioning by an investment committee or a board.
It works poorly when the question needs primary interviews, consumer surveys, or proprietary transaction data that nobody is required to file. If that is the case you will hear it at the scoping call, not after you have paid for an engagement that cannot deliver.
Start a conversation
Email with the decision you are trying to make, the sector, and roughly when you need it. If it looks like a fit, a scoping call follows.
